RED GTs?????

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
My GT looked just like that at when I got him. They are very pretty and grow up very colorful if I knew how I'd post a pic but I'm a noob on this site he's about 5" now. But they are just normal GT's

could be a festae x green terror hybrid

Green Terrors cannot breed outside their genus. So i highly doubt that.

The fish is likely normal GTs which have red fins as juvies, Like most GTs do and the lfs or supplier is trying to capitalise on this. By claiming it is something it isn't

Not the best pictures, but this was my male at 2.5" and his red had begun to fade, however, it was still present.

All of the GTs I have had have displayed the red colouration as juviniles.

@ GrantA94, ahh I see what you mean you can see it starting to fade.

The fish were smaller than 2" so I suppose the red coloration was more intense for that reason. Thanks for your input!

Yeah i have a green terror that looks like yours does. Straight gt , looks great too.

Precisely, never any successful spawns.

Just normal GT's. Mine had pretty deep orange/red edged fins when I got him (that's why I got him :) ). It fades as they grow, but those ones seem to turn out to be very nice looking adults.
