redheads usually spend most of their time sifting through sand for morsels of food. without sand or decor to peck at, they got nuthin to do. they want to graze all day on sand & messy driftwood etc.

Working on getting some.

60 gallon is also a bit small for a maturing group of red heads. I would look into upgrading to a 90+ gallon tank for them. 4' is okay, but a 6' tank is much better.

Now you know why they were chasing each other around! Congrats. But be aware that red-heads are notorious for not getting the parental care thing down at first. Often they eat their eggs the first few times they breed. With experience they improve.

Agreed. Let them breed in the community tank 2-3 times before you move them to a breeding tank (if you are considering doing that).

Yeah. All the eggs are still there so far.. The ones that paired off both look like males.. Lol

They are often difficult to sex until a mature, dominant male develops the trailers.....but that is only one fish. LOL
