Since I saw my first group of red head tapajos at a forum member's house years ago, I've been itching to get into the geo game. I'm not sure why it has taken me so long to get a hold of some but I finally did! Thanks to Ewok from the forums, I picked up 20 red head fry a couple of weeks ago. They are TINY, like 1/2in each. I'm planning to keep a log of how they grow out and track their progress.

Right now they're in a 135 and are eating crushed NLS and Hikari brine shrimp.
These pics were taken the 2nd night they were introduced into the tank

Somehow, they found a rolly polly in the sand and decided to slowly pick at it until they finished the entire thing.....

It's pretty cool to see them start to show their colors

More updates to come!

i have 130 some i got from Peathenster last week, about the same size as yours they are so neat to watch when that small

I love threads like this, really informative. I'll be keeping up with your progress, especially since I'm a big fan of these fish.

Cute! Good luck with them. They are easy to raise. Clean water, decent food and some patience :)

Maximalou (Lou) got his from me last year, and I think ewok got his breeding stock from me last August too. Good to see these babies in the hobby :)
