My last batch was done in by an aggressive Ciclid....they were huge. Had them 10 years......damn Buttikoferi!!
Wow,ten years.I have a group of six,had more but two of my biggest dollars spooked and jumped out of the tank.
I raised them with a Indo Dat that reached 15" and over 3lbs when he died....had him 10 years too....in my 150 gallon tall. When he passed I grabbed the Cichlid of death as a new centerpiece......he killed everything....catfish and Red Hooks, blue hooks and barred sliver dollars. He lived alone for a year until I rehomed him.
Haha Cichlid of death.....never had one but I've heard that buttis can be extremely nasty.
I may get a few more red hooks to add to the group,maybe even a few tiger dollars.I'd love a few black berries but they are over one hundred bucks each.
