Very true.. Also I believe Happy sells different level fish. Like some with better potential are more $. Some less good looking and cheaper. I think the better looking ones I've heard can go for 4 digits. Could be wrong? But I wouldn't expect anything like that esp. since it's big already unless it's damn close to that. Not trying to shoot down a dream either. I have a happy fish but I don't expect it to be just like the ones on the site. I expect a lower grade version of those.

To be honest with you. Unless it was like the biggest and best looking parrot I've ever seen I wouldn't mess with it. I hate HITH. With a passion. Just my .02 though.

Well I guess that's why I like it and I'm willing to deal with treating for HITH, because the fish already is very close to looking like a Happy Breed fish.

It's red color is very well developed, great shaped body, etc...

The HITH is very minor and with time wouldn't be able to tell it had it.

I'm still debating it though. Would look nice though.

this one costed me $250 6 years ago, and its not where as the quality as the ones in the website. But if you like it, by all means buy it. It's only $50.

Did you buy that straight from happy breed farm with certificate?

I know not all can be of that high quality, even in the GIF's on their page, you can see a pale one to the left side of the tank.

I have a regular parrot that looked that color, and lately it's colored up a lot.

I don't think it had KOK, but my buddy Chris who keeps FH has said that it can kind of deflate depending on the fish's mood.


The color was nice rich red, and I feed HaiFeng color fast and hikari cichlid bio gold +, so it should keep that color in my tank.



I'm not a big fan of parrots either, but it does look more impressive when it's giant lol

No, I bought them locally with someone who specialize in fh and parrots. I have some somall happy breed at 4".

If I wanted red color, I can feed them haifeng, but I prefer healthier food instead of colored hormones.
