:chillpill: its adaptation....evolution. the point is color morphs for jardinis are not yet that established. there's just one variety and occasional more vivid ones come out, coz of chance or environmental adaptation. perhaps in more generations real red ones would be isolated, bred and established but for now, tree geckos are the closest were gonna get for jars. ok heres one, we have tilapias who are browner just coz they live in a more vegetated pond compared to some in my bro's place where they live in a clear pond, and their offspring look the same. fact is, you cant go anywhere and buy a red jar, just not an established variety:popcorn:

i get your drift man, i felt the same way 5 or 6 years ago when i first started seeing pics of red and golden jars. but theyre just pics of fishes whose owners got really lucky.....

I mean I did it fast but you get the idea... it's pretty easy to make things up...
