Red lines in tank

Pls help! This morning i woke up to find my yellow tang dead. We have had him for about 6 months so it was just out of no where. There are red lines on the side of the tank. I have 2 tanks and i have never seen them in the other tank. Is this normal?! I couldnt get a good picture of them....

No they arent straight. They kinda branch off like a vine as they grow. I scraped off the glass and you can kinda see them coming back now. I think they may just be some form of algae but its making me nervous

Where there is sunshine
I think its red slime algae...was it easy to scrape it from the glass?

yea it was farely simple to scrape off the glass...first my yellow tang passed away...not my lion is not doing good...the lines are red unlike in that pic and not as stringy looking...
