Not a Red Lion, thats for sure. I always thought a Red Lion was a Red Dragon sub sp. that has no flowerline or pearls but not a fader.

Sup Musha!
youre right. Red lion IS a a strain of Red dragon. A strain with big head and pink red by Siamcrossbreed a few years back. They name it that. They do have lightly pearls and flowerline. Robust bodies and weak tails. I think some do fade.. Nowadays, FHs fade unpredictably.

this fish could be good for breeding fade FHs.

Huh? Jag...where do you see that? It is a typical red devil or midas

Red Lion is technically Red Dragon. You shouldn't go by the name when come to Flowerhorn. People tend to make up the name for their fish.

Totaly red devil cross with FH ,thats why black faded to yellow amphillopus citrinellus,...or ,......laviatus.which is the midas ......If he could have have only some pearl and plum you can call it FLOWERHORN,try to breed to FH the strain will have golden louhan......its try and error dude ..............GOODLUCK. and more power......
