The scientist who told you this is full of it. There are lots of ppl in the FH hobby like to act like they know it all. Using a precise number like 99.9% and such are usually bogus infos from the fact.. Unless there was a testing facility that took 1000 kamfas and tried to breed each of them numerous times then I can follow that.
I do believe that chances for them being INFERTILE is high!! But I've heard of quite a few kamfas having babies. zz crossed or not. Male and female. If it was 99.9%(wow so accurate and precise) of infertile rate, I wouldn't hear about it so much. And also sometimes, ppl don't try hard enough to make it happen so with the first or second time they give up.
My kamfa that I had did three breedings. Only one breeding was good and only a small percentage of eggs made it. In my experience and witness, red eyed FHs had all been fertile. I've heard of white eyes having babies too. But those are, most of the time, infertile.
