Red Orandas

I had 2 males and a female at the time they breed. 1 calico male, 1 red cap male and the orange oranda female. They breed in june in a 150gallon 6x6x2 kiddie pool. The red cap died few months after but since then nothing. So I guess we will see when spring comes again.

I have a red cap oranda and I love it. Much better personality than my black Moore. I have had to trim its when (sp?) though, which is a minor hassle. If you get them I recommend no heater and feeding Hikari algae wafers. A little warmer water can help them grow faster, but the chance of problems is a lot higher too.
