Red oscar Vs Black shark Round1

your tank is not large enough to try to keep the black shark with tankmates. you need half again as much at a minimum, just so it has room to get away. all fish have there own personality, so he could turn out to be gentle as a guppy. it all depends on your particular fish. but in the case of mine, i make sure he has been gnawing on enough raw fish fillets that he doesnt go for my other fish.

Going to make this pretty clear.

Don't ask questions if you disagree with every answer that doesn't adhere to what you want to do. You've got 5 replies already saying it's not a good idea, but you want someone to say something like "it might work" for some kind of false reassurance so you can give it a crack anyway?

Trial and error is part of fishkeeping, but it's not acceptable when you have the internet at your disposal and choose to disagree with it.

1200lph Canister won't suffice on that sized tank if you plan on keeping Oscars either, unless it's a big Eheim.
Thanks for putting it straight " a fool and his money" no shark.

I wouldn't mess with it. Most black sharks are absolutely terrible and will make life miserable for tankmates. Even if you get a nice one your tank is not nearly big enough for the black shark anyway so it's really not worth even trying. They really need an 8ft tank.
