Red Parrot

I have successfully bred a red parrot with a texas Cichlid. Now I am trying to breed the red parrot (female) with one of her offspring (looks like a texas cichlid but is orange). They have bred 3 times, but the eggs get fungus.
Is it possible to breed a mother and her male offspring?

If they turn to fungus, it's possible they were never fertilized. Could be 2 females.

Could simply be infertile (some hybrids have varying levels of fertility)

Hey, that would mean your initial fry was red texas. All male red texas f1 are infertile from what I know... Try breeding a female of the fry with the texas dad instead
