My yellow lab has red patches in the "armpit" under the pectoral fins. I noticed them yesterday, and they are on both sides of the fish. Otherwise, the fish seems healthy and is swimming and eating. Any ideas?

About a month ago I noticed that two of my mutt yellow labs have A redness right where the pectoral fin meets the body. It was very obvious on those two fish due to their color but inspected all of the other fish as well. Noticed my Bucco has similar discoloration. There also may be slight...

RD. thanks for finding this older thread for me.

Seems like the same condition, which was never fully solved in the previous thread. I am going to just continue water changes, and hope for the best.

For future visitors, I thought I would update this to say the red marks went away naturally. Fish is doing fine.
