Definately a red-tailed barracuda, you do get red-tailed payara though..

Upon further research, the Sabre tooth barracuda is a payara, the red barracuda is not a payara. Right?

They don't really look the same. Look at an adult freshwater Barracuda and then an adult Payara. You'll notice a slight difference in size.

Those are cool fish. I have been eyeballing one at one of my LFS. If they had a few more I would get them.

The mouth is a dead giveaway in retrospect, as is the way the fish orients it self in the water.

If any MOD can change the title of my thread to RED BARRACUDA, that would be great. I hate inaccuracy.
