Red Pearl Arowana???

My lfs currently has an arowana that's about 3 inches labeled as a red pearl arowana, it looks like a jardini but if you look close it has a bunch of little red dots, they are asking 270 dollars for this fish, is this some type of Asian aro or just some color variation of jardini? Is it worth the price if it is an Asian even tho its illegal? I'll get some pics of it next time I go I'm sure it will be there.

My lfs sells jardini for 160 for 5-6 inches. So I would say no, it isnt a good deal.

That is my jardini before i bought it
