The entire back end of the fish, from the gills back will fall off and regenerate.............lol just kidding. It will look ugly and look like its even more sore than it is but it will heal and go back to normal in about ten days or so. Keep the water clean.

Okay. One last thing. I picked up the generic brand of Betadine (povidone iodine 10% solution). Is that okay? The only other option was something called Iodide 45% solution made with ammonia and because of the ammonia, I figured it wouldn't be good to use. Will the stuff I bought be enough?

Betadine is perfect.
 
Okay. So I did a water change just now. Bumped up salt to 1 tablespoon per 5 gallons. I then removed the RTM, set it down on a cloth, applied the iodine (the dropper I got wasn't very good because I gentle squeezed it and got three drops instead of one), waited 15 seconds, dabbed the excess off and replaced the fish. Hopefully that will take care of the issue. :)
