Red Retic!

I've seem normal retic's in my LFS for 139.99 :S (no thanks!)

I guess when it get's into special/rare rays it's more about what the owner thinks of it. Is it worth double the price for the look? Who's to say. If black rays got for 1K, I'd say 120 for a red tinted one sounds fair.
 
i should have read this thread earlier. red retic is red caqueta same thing. also in the sticky it states sometimes called red reticulata. same as the retic just with the reddish tint.
 
I've never heard of a red retic, maybe the seller is color blind and thought it looked a little red? Who knows.
 
I take back what I said about them being super rare. I was thinking about a scobina.
 
I've owned these guys before. they are cool. but very hard to keep alive. they also breed at a very small size. I had a female give birth at 6 1/2 inches. The baby was about 1 3/4" disk size. I had a group of 5 that did not last long. I talked to a few others who had them and they had the same experience.

Hence the name sp. waste of money.

Keeping them in RO waster might solve the problem though.
 
My LFS landed a pair (two females) about two weeks ago from Columbia, they are a very distinct color compared to normal retics (a rusty orange/red) IMHO. He has them on for $135, they are about 7" disc and one has some very obvious movement on its back. They seem to be eating ok, krill mostly. I was thinking about giving them a shot as well.
