Red Severum?

Does anyone know anything about these? My LFS is selling then at ~2" and $15 each. It's not a marketing name as I've seen them in person and their shape is like a gold severum's but they are covered with bright red markings similar to a red leopard discus or something.(I dunno much about discus so I'm not really sure how to describe it)

Any info on these?

They are super red gold severums. I think they are stunning fish. Deffinatly a steal at $15. Even at that size that is cheap. I would expect to pay atleast $20 for a 1 incher. Go for it. Same tempermant and size and everything as a regular sev.

s.p. rotkeil AKA red shouldered sevrum...............I paid $15 for a 1'''er a little while ago and now that 1 '''er is a 2.5''er...........beautifull when they grow into adulthood!!!!

There are two red variants, the Redhead Rotkeil and the Super Red, very different from each other.
Care is like that of any other Sev.
Both very nice fish, I would've bought a Redhead if I'd found one, I settled on a Turquoise to go with my Green.

Redhead, this picture doesn't do the fish justice, they can display bright red heads and shoulders.

At that price in my area I would buy them all and resell them to people when bigger.

Here's a bad pic of a standard albino sev and what was bought as a "Red Spotted" sev. They're fed on FD plankton/krill and arowana pellets to accentuate the red.

I love the reds on Rotkeil Severums. I'm wanting to put 4 adults in my 240gal. when my pbass are moved.
