I've got some redheads growing out and they are awesome looking fish. 6 more at the store and I'm thinking of getting 3 of those when I go into work tomorrow. I'm gonna have to find some of those reds to order too. tho.

Where, what store, and how much? I have been trying to get some for a while now.

So what is the verdict....super red or read shoulder? Maybe I am missing something but have we figured this out yet?

Chad

It's definitely not a red shoulder, it has red markings throughout its body.

I guess it's a super red, I'm going back to the LFS on Saturday.

are they naturally colored, does the strain breed true, or are they hormone induced or dyed?
I'm not really sure... but this just became available here.
so far i'm not feeding them any color enhancer but their color is still the same.
at 1st i thiought they were just golden severums fed with color enhancer :)

The color is deffinatly not natural but they ARE true. Not dyed...just line bred with some nice looking golds i beleive over a long time. They shouldnt lose color....perhaps increase in color though. I am pretty sure the babies come out as super reds but NOT POSITIVE. They could be something like the blue dumpseys where you have to breed them with a regular then rebreed and stuff....

I will be looking for some of these.. i love severums and now they are even more beautiful..
