That's 718.13 US gallons or 598.2 UK gallons, how do I build that because that won't fit down my basement steps.

you build it in your basement like i did will post pick if needed

^ would love to see pics. what is it made of? i'm looking into building a plywood tank with a glass window in the front. i'm still trying to figure out how to build it though....

Even bigger, IMO.

Like I said, those were both minimums.

this is the smallest one i have that is currently under construction its 14'L 5'tall 6'5'' wide made of 2x4s 6 4x4's 2x6's amd ply wood with a pond liner i put inside it the other indoor ponds i have are atlest 10feet wide and 3'-4 feet deep depending on whats in them..there cheaper to make that getting custom tanks done even if you put glass on the front $300-$1300 to make one

I was thinking i could build one 10 feet long, 5 feet wide and 2 - 3 feet tall. that would get me 1122.08 gallons and how much would that approximately cost me with or with out windows.

I have a few different ideas for that wood indoor pond tank idea with the catfish:

1. Amazon river type : 16 feet long, 4 feet wide and 4 feet tall = 1915.01 US gallons

2 Amazon river type : 16 feet long, 4 feet wide and 3 feet tall = 1436.26 US gallons

3 catfish only or Amazon river type: 8 feet long by 8 feet wide, 4 feet tall = 1915.01 US gallons

4 catfish only or Amazon river type: 8 feet long by 8 feet wide, 3 feet tall = 1436.26 US gallons

5 catfish only: 8 feet long, 4 feet wide and 4 feet tall = 957.51 US gallons

6 catfish only : 8 feet long, 4 feet wide and 3 feet tall = 718.13 US gallons

Tell me what you think of these sizes.

I read somewhere a good rule of thumb on tank sizes so that fish have enough room. I think it is something to think about. The tank should be 3-4 times the size of the fish in lenght and 2 times the size of the fish in width. I think that this rule will help give the fish enogh room to swim and turn around.

Let's suppose that the RTc and TSN will grow to be 3 ft long. I know that these fish can get bigger, but let's just say they grow to 3 ft. Based on the above "rule of thumb" the tank would want to be 9-12 ft long and 6 ft wide. I think a dept of 3 ft would be good. If I was going to bulid a pond for an RTC and TSN, this would be the size that I would do. Now assuming that 4 ft is a possible size for the fish, I would go 12-16 ft long and 8 ft wide.
