red tail barracuda feeding

i just got two today. Has anyone had any luck with feeding them something else than feeders.

Mine likes krill, even saw it take down a Massivore pellet. Massivore is fish crack. Only fish that don't eat is is my picky Dats.

Mine ate lumps of mussel and slithers of raw fish.

the only thing i tried ewas blood worms and krill. they didnt eat it. Im thinking since thier babys should i use feeder guppies until they beef up or should i just keep trying the stuff i have?

No matter the size of fish, try. The only diff is the leinght of time you starve them.
I say, the older, the harder. "You can't teach an old dog new tricks"

ill try it but on mythbusters they did teach an old dog neew tricks

stuff them with guppies.
then starve them for 2-3 days.
within those 2-3 days,feed small amounts of that krill or whatever.
keep repeating til they figure it out.
