red tail cat vs wykii 8x4

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
I know you only considering RTC and Wykii, but might i suggest marble pim? they are very active. They interact during feeding. Got super long whiskers that stick out of water during feeding. And he will be good for your 8x4 very comfortably for life.

Of course, if i were to choose between your options i would take RTC (biased?) ... never kept a wykii ^^

PS: growth is equally phenomenal as RTC

Ive kept both. I'd go RTC. Much more active as far as Cats go. As well as more interactive. You can train him to take food from your hand, and be petted. WHile a Wyckii looks cool, but isn't very active and is probably the most aggressive fish Ive ever kept...and ive kept a LOT. most people tend to confuse territorial with aggression, but I assure you...Wyckii..aggressive. Will go out of his way to mess with whatever you have with him.

Chances are you will want to add something to the tank other than just a cat..Atleast with an RTC yo're left more options.

Hehhehehe, that said, RTCs are known to make their tank mates "disappear" quite often

lol the one i kept made my 16" prized frontosa "dissepear" was well anoyed but i did state about the pond all you people who are gonna say oh tanks not big enough. i know i grew one of these monsters and i understand that an 8x4 would only last an rtc like 2 years but thats enough time to get the pond.

I once owned a Wycki and they were called Satans Catfish because of their so called evil nature but mine allthough about 2 1/2 ft long was as gentle as a kitten I could hand feed it and put my hand in and tickle its chin I know you can do this with a RTC but the colours on the Wycki are something else so I would say get a Wycki
