Chances are all those fish will be lunch at some point, even the pleco, well, my friends "tried" to eat a very large panaque he had with it, and had to remove it from its mouth in the morning as it had it stuck in its mouth with all the spines/whiskers etc.

Both survived.

As for shedding as long as its not constantly all the time its fine, all large cats do it now and again, my limas do it sometimes as well (though they havnt for months now).
