I am curious to know if anyone has any asian red tail catfish exp, i currently have a 12 inch amazonian rtc and i have been given the oppourtunity to purchase a really really nice asian rtc, but im worried about different growth rates between the 2 , i only have amazonian exp and i want to know how does there growth rate compare

the asian is smaller , quite a bit smaller in fact so i dont want him to become lunch but i was thinking of growing him up a bit in my 180 before he joins the big guys.

eventually the goal is to house them all together , cant afford a secondary house for a catfish with a slower growth rate

or should i pass and wait for a bigger one to come up , if the game of catch up isnt realistic

any info is appreciated , i realize how large these all get and im equip'd to handle them
thanks again

Ive never owned one but I've heard Asian rtc have a mean attitude.

I would love a goonch too. I sure have space for a goonch. Atleast I wont have to move it in doors every winter. I would go for it. Its worth the shot worse that could happen it gets eaten or sold. I would grow it out.

its retarded cheap so its hard to pass up, the shop has 3 and they want $9.99 each, flight is $60 so i could bring in 3 for under $100, im just tripping about
A them getting eaten, or B growing them out all together and having to raise 5 giant cats lol, not that its a bad thing but wife wont let me install a pool in the living room lol
