They definitely get huge. I think that a 150g will last longer than a year though. But a 300g would be better.
 
150 should last at least 2 years with proper maintenance, 300 gal would last 5-10 years depending on the dimensions or footprint.

Average 150 is only 18 wide...thats not a good thing for a 24"fish... if it isn't 24 within the first year it will be within 18months...MAX... some of us will have greater than 24" in a year... :eek: but then again ... Mine is just crazy LOL
