My red tail catfish won't eat, he has being doing this thing that looks like he is sneezing then will sometimes breath heavy, he has been doing this for 5 days now and before he started doing it he was eating he had 2 mussels, 8 prawns and was coming up to the tip be hand feed now he won't even budge for food.

He might have swallowed something. Are any decorations missing? Suction cups from the heater?

Not that am aware of still have the 3 on my heater, the only other decoration I have is big rocks and plants he does try to swallow the plants and did the try heater once till it burned him.

He swallowed something...dont feed him ..give him some time.
Poor water quality will freak them a bit to...
But if you're water is fine I I wouldn't worry.
You probably just swallowed something and we'll need to throw it out before anything else.✌

Depends on what it is... round shape stuff usually it's not a problem for them to spit it out after a day even hours sometimes but if it's something rough it will be a little be harder to threw up.
Extreme meaures will be you messaging he' s tummy towards the mouth or even shove your fingers down his throat to take whatever it's in there.... last case measure of course.
Good luck.

I suspect presence of toxic levels of ammonia, nitrite, or nitrate; or, less likely other wrong water parameters; or thiaminase issues.
