i heard that for rtg's u should give it as little light as possible and a black background so it can get a better color
...this is why I want to move to Canada or England. You're a lucky man. With all the suggestions you're getting, if you use them, the colors will really kick!!! Shrimp really bring out the reds too.
Man I wish I could get an Asian. You are a lucky dude. =p
I'm going to move to Canada so I can get one, well and avoid the draft...I mean....nevermind.
P.S.
I know mine is nothing compared to an Asian, but look at the color in my 12 incher. I feed him market shrimp (meat only) and sometimes fish (sometimes barbs) and crickets. I use FD small shrimp as a staple. If you can get loaded crickets from your LFS they're really good too, or you can just buy normal crickets, and keep them in a covered "bathroom" sized trashcan with moist baby carrots.
