Red Tail Golden Or High Back Or Grade 2 red?

*Hi back? if color not reaching the back, but hight enought to reach the 3 or 4 level scale, that's a hight back. But this one does not color, of course not a hi-back.
*Grade 2 red? do you see any red color at all?

the tail have a bit red in there, plus this fish still young, and the light seem very bright! high back still have red tail! if you can't see the red then you are color blind.
And for the OP, can take some more pictures? I think it would help!

Do you know what you're talking about?

It's got a slightly reddish tail so i believe it's an RTG. It looks to be about 10" i suppose?
It's got already got speckling at the tail end of its 5th level so it could be a HBRTG.
G2 Reds have color actually, just not at all strong when compared to G1 Reds.

Personally i wouldn't get this piece for $350. You can do much better man. Drop by DFI or SABF. They have better RTGs. But then again this piece looks pretty beat up so its true potential is still a no-show. Ask the seller what the certificate states. RTG for me still.

You saw red on the tail? I only see slight pink if i am not color blind. SLIGHT PINK in your eyes becomes RED, i suggest you should go check your eyes.
In my last post, I meant, there's no cutting edge for the names. let says, RTG mix with a GREEN, it could be named either one, or depend on the what color it tends to more . Not like; if not A, or B, should be C. there're more in between, you have to look at the color to value the fish.
The fish still too young, color still not fully develop? that's usually what the seller would say to persuade the buyer.

what I can say is, you don't know much about Arowana! I bet that I've seen a lot more Asian Arowana in my life than you!

My opinion still stands on crossbred of RTGxGreen. Coloration on scales remind me of Green Aro. Finnage color reminds me of an RTG.

1. Just an FYI, not all RTG have RED tail. Most either have orange or really dark orange tail. The enviroment and diet will affect the color on it's tail. So if an RTG that has dark orange tail, isn't an RTG?
2. High back have gold shine up to the 5th scale level. Not 3rd or 4th. Like you said, it doesn't have color. It can't be an RTG. An RTG at that size should have thin gold frame on the scale, even if it's kept in a light tank.
3. Grade 2 Reds look similar to Grade 1 Red when young. Dorsal, Caudal, and Anal fin is Red. The Aro in the O.P has greyish color on the Dorsal fin.

Oh, I think I'm color blind. I don't see red but I see orange.
