Cool video! He feeds just like my tat. I had figured this seeing behavior was normal. I shall have to try hand feeding now.

My armatus already eats from my hand. Don't think ill do it too often lol too many teeth.

how did you get it to hand feed from you? mine is pretty shy.

Mine absolutely smashes floating pellets. I have no doubt with that feeding behavior, he wouldn't care one way or the other if I'm holding it or not.

I picked up a piece of food off the bottom he didn't eat and offerd it to him. He took it from me no problem.

damn mine is still friggin shy. It already adjust and is not skittish but it always seems to swim away from me. How often do you feed ur armatus? Mine only seems to eat it once every 2 days.

Mine eats when ever. I give him silverside every 2 to 3 days unless he starts beating up on everyone. mine was skidish too intill I took away his hiding spot and started leaving the lights on longer. he started to rub alittle but afew days later he stoped rubbing and now I can tap on the glass and he swims up to me. I also painted 3 of the 4 sides of the tank. that might help also
