In front of my tanks
I getting a rtc x tsn tomarrow I read the other tread on them but not that much info ive had both fish but its the first time combined can i get some info like growth rate do they grow like a weed like rtc or slower like tsn what do the adults look like there is one I already no its gonna be a eating machine because both fish are gluttons and when you combine two gluttons together you got a garbage disposal :hitting:

One of my good friends has a redtail*tiger shovel nose mix there sweet

mine didnt grow that fast . mine was aprox 9 inchs give or take in 9 months. ive herd they grow faster i herd slower. depends on actual fish and they will eat anyfish that fits there mouth

i believe... it depends on diet and changing water..... in 2 months
my rtc went from 3.5 inch to 13inchs :22_yikes:

this is no bull**** i swear!!!!

^ but then again mine has a varied diet.... three blue dempseys, 2 full grown
firemouths, a 6 inch festae, 5inch dovii, and a normal diet of raw shrimp
pellets.... other than that he is growing pretty :swear: fast

i have all three (RTC, TSN, TSNxRTC). its all on their diet, like wickedmidas said, will eventually depend on the individual. My RTC and TSN is now a lot bigger than the hybrid. although they all started the same size, same tank. the hybrid is also the aggressor between the three.

I have some sort of RTC hybrid...some sort of pim...i'm thinkin its either a sailfin or some other larger pim....he is growing very fast though!! Faster than most RTC and hybrids. in a little over a month he has grown a little over 4"!! GEEZ!! I don't have horribly good pictures...but i will get some. I even tried slowing him down by feeding every other day just enough to round his belly. He was in a 125 also..but i moved him to the 300gal about 3 days ago. Hes about 7" now. Gonna start to power feed him now! Should take off! :D
