Red-tailed and Pacus

I'm pretty sure Oscars would eventually be lunch. Maybe not, but most likely LOL.

possibly, but Necrocanis did have 2 oscars and 1 green terror with all his cats.

Theres three bite-sized tilapia swimming in my catfish pond. They survived the initial onslaught a few months ago since my catfish have a preference for prepared foods being dropped to them rather than having to chase it.

Also about handfeeding your catfish with the Pacus... just like be careful of the Pacu's teeth. Train the pacus to fear your hand.

I find that it helps to have a buddy (or husband, in my case) at feeding time. The buddy throws food AWAY from you, so the Pacus go there, and you feed the RTC by hand. Of course, this only works in a pond -- in a smaller space, there simply wouldn't be anywhere to lure the Pacus to without endangering your fingers. It would all be too close.

And, I had never heard of an Oscar that lived with a full-grown RTC, but this is definitely good to know!

Actually thats the only case I've heard of too. And it was because he [Necrocanis] trained all his fish to accept dead foods rather than live foods.

2" rct
dont pay more than $20
if it can fit in its mouth it will eat it

Well, i finally got my RTC. He's not 2in, actually more than 3in. Seems to be ok with Pacus but he just does nothing . I guess that is their natural behaviour. I already planning to get atleast 1000L aquarium now.

Just remember, the 1000L will only last for so long (Probably 2-3 years.) So remember to not forget that he will grow 5 feet or so.
