red tailed cat in indoor pond???

OHH.......NOOOO.... my borther want's me to move him to califoriana but i can't leave with out my pet fishes!!!! I love them like my pet dog) (why curel world....lol)

well i have 4 catfish in my 5gauge pond liner(1300gallons) i was worried about the same thing! but it hasn't done any damag to my pond liner i just hope my Rtc don't get into a fight with my other fishes(it has a very agresive temperment.)

Tropical ponds are great if you have monster fish and far cheaper than buying a huge tank.
but they are totaly useless if you have arrowana for obvious reasons 1 jump and fish on floor!

the other but is most fish are not that interesting when viewed from the top but you can install a side acrylic viewing glass. by using a special sealant and a butyl liner.

I have a 12ft x 6 ft x 2-3ft deep pond in a conservatory that i built for my red tailed cat. but since he died aged 12 years old there mainly central american cichlids and few catfish and a knifefish

the main but with tropical ponds is if you move house you cant really take them with you!

I have a channel cat in an outdoor pond with a 22mm liner I think. All I can say so far is the water hasn't drained! Hahaha. I think it will be fine. If it does happen be sure to have a pump on hand to pump the water into the bathtub or outside or something.

i have a 18"+ channel ina 45mil outdoor, no probs.

I think your pond will be fine! How will you heat it? Thinking of doing a pond here too.
