I think the governments where where asian aros are found naturally should make a conscious effort to farm aros and restock the local rivers. They should also stop illegal fishing of asian aros.
As far as exporting arowanas, all of the aros being exported are farm bred so its not like the environmenti is being depleted.

I agree, with the wild release of aros, but technically speaking the effort is not worth it, most farms breed arowanas for profit.
Nuff said about them ever releasing fish. Even the lowest or poorest grade arowanas can be sold for a few hundreds, which is what business wants, to squeeze every last cent out of consumers..

True and thats why i think the government should start restocking programs and not just tell aro farms to put their farm bred aros in the wild which of course, they would never do..
