besides this it's just like a huge spike it RTS buying

Perhaps you should buy one and tell us how you like him? :D

They are thought to be extinct in the wild, mainly due to changing habitat than over collecting. All specimens are captive bred, so buying one and keeping it is really like helping the species continue! :naughty:

I have two RTBS in with my 8 clown loaches and they dont even bother with the loaches. The two sharks only chase each other during feedings. The tank does have plants, driftwood, river rocks and slate caves so plenty of places for everyone to claim as their own space.

What size tank, got any pics?

My RTBS has moved in to my 125g clown loach tank as of this week! He was causing too much trouble in my 20 gallon, now he is in with the big boys. He is about 2.5" long in with some 6" clown loaches, so obviously he is not showing any aggression.

I have one, he usually sticks to one side of the tank, and sometimes will chase the loaches that are smaller than him. He's never injured them, of course even the small ones can easily outrun him, and they have a lot of hidey spaces. He's about five inches, and i have maybe five or six loaches smaller than him.

Heh, these guys are hilarious to watch. They'll chase any fish for fun or fishes that come into their territory. My GF has one thats like 4" long and it'll chase the 2 angelfishes and ONE neon tetra just for fun. No harm to them ever, just a short burst of tag every so often, its been like that for couple years. Just give the other fishes a place to hide and get outta sight if it's a big problem.
