its thought that it is a color morph on the arg. B&W tegu. but it hasnt been proven as of yet.

blues also stay smaller than red and B&W. blues rarely reach 4ft long

I sited blues as diferent because in my opinion they are much more then a simple color morph I beleave they deserve perhaps a species status, that wont happen however untill they have a dna examen done on them. Would also help if we knew were their wild populacion exists I think its also important to say that there are more then one red tegu and very likely more then one golden tegu

i do agree with there being more than one tye or red. ive seen argentine and paraguyan(sp) for sale. they look similar but there are deff differances between the two.
