I was at a LFS which was recommended as being reputable in the greater Seattle area. He sold me a very small juvy Red Terror. I know that sometimes Red Terror are misidentified. Is this a true red terror? If not what is it? Sorry about picture quality but he wouldn't hold still. Also I bought this midas at petsmart. Midas or RD? Here are the pics.

cant tell by youre pictures becuase its really blurry

but as close as i can tell its either a uro or a true festae

but that is deffinatly a midas/ red devil
:D

The one looks more Rd than Midas but the other pic isn't good enough to tell what it is:)

can't tell about the first one, because of the blurriness, but for the second, i'm gonna say another fish store Rd/midas hybrid.

I will try to get better pictures of the "red terror".

Hmm, how big is it? The red terror I mean. From the second picture, the spot near its tail looks like the right size. But can't tell for sure, as others have said.

He is less than 2 inches. That is why I can't get a good photo. He darts around so quickly that the other photos I tried were no better.

I dunno, looks like the top one isn't Red Terror OR Uro...almost looks like a juv. Red Devil/midas....bummer man. Like you've stated, better pictures would help oodles. Is it always that dark? Next time that it colors up, check and see if it has the characteristic "Y" bar just behind the head. Also, if the occellatited spot at the base of the caudual fin covers most of the base of the tail, its a Uro, if it is smaller, and only covers like 1/4 of the tail base, then its a festae. Hope that helps! ;)

After drinking a few beers to try and focus on the photos I couldnt tell what that top fish is but its no Festae or Uro. Looks more like a barred Midas or some Hybred.
