I hope so too. I have a small female Festae as well... funny thing is she will not eat pellets either. Never really has, which sucks cause they grow so slow n with her not eating pellets it even more slow. She has grown like 1" in four months!!

That's right I remember her growing so slowly and I worried that I was doing something wrong.

Because of what y'all are saying I've ordered some red wigglers and I'm going to do a worm bin to keep them coming. I hope she'll eat them but even if she doesn't I have two oscars who will gladly chow down on them.

You can also try changing pellets. I started my festae out on hikari, then one day they just refused to eat it. I've been through omega one medium cichlid pellets, NLS, Hikari massivore, colbalt cichlid pellets, and Southern Delight. My fish would stick with a pellet for a few months and then refuse to eat it. I guess they just get bored with them after a while. They are currently on dainichi xl pro/krill, and northfin jumbo. See if anyone you know that keeps fish has another type of pellet and try that. Good luck, I know how much of a pain it is to find a pellet your fish will eat.

Ha, those are some finicky fish. That's a good idea though. I'll try to get a handful of a couple of different kinds. My pet food store has small sample bags of most of the foods in the store so you can know if your dog likes them. I wish we had those at our LFS.
