I currently have 1 aquarium but on a recent trip to a local fish shop I saw a large wolf cichlid (Dovii) on display, he was literaly trying to grab my hand through the glass! I was immediately inspired to buy another tank! Unfortunately they grow much too large, I was looking at some small Red terror as well and was wondering if they get as agressive? They are significantly smaller and more practical and I realy would like a very interacive fish.
Any thoughts on this?

I'd say a midas/red devil would be right down your alley. red terrors aren't the most interactive of cichlids. they tend to hide more than they are out in the open. :)

What about a Jag? Not sure what size tank you have.

or possible a grammode?

Flowerhorn-- will get pissed off and flare at me when I get too close to the tank.

I agree Flowerhorns are pretty aggressive and interactive... Red Devils are fun too.

What size tank are you getting? There are so many options for you.

FH, red devil and jag are probably the best as stated. Grammodes are very bad about being shy as well. Ive seen some Islantus that were glass bangers, but they are a pain when feeding time comes due to bloat.

well i've got a festae juvie, only 3", who isn't shy at all, but it doesn't even compare to how interactive my midas is. crazy fun. good luck on your future pickup

id say go with red devils. theyre grrreat! The most owner responsive fish ive ever seen. They are super aware of whats going on outside the tank and what your doing. If you want a glassbanger id say get a red devil or midas.
