cichlid city
I got a question and with out any smart replies i was wondering how big do red terror cichlids get.some people say 20 inches some say 10 inches. I want to add one to a pond in a greenhouse.

Just learn how to tell the difference between the real red terror and the others that look like it when they are juv's so you'll know what your going to end up with when it's fully mature. Not sure how big this pond is but if it's anything like Milkman's you could have a little of everything. So why worry about size? :D

At least 10" for a female and at least 14" for a male, males get much alrger than females and this why keeping a pair is som diffcult cos the agressive male easily overpowers the female.

if your ponds big enough then i can be mixed with other large aggressive cichlids but from experience i dont reccomend mixing theses fish with anything in tanks of less than 300 gallons.

my mates got a red terror that's like 3 inches max! and already it beats up on 2x 8-10 inch oscars and a 6 inch jag!

if its going into a pond why worry...i say just do it 10" or 20" the fish will still rock it out in the pond:D :headbang2 :D :headbang2 :D :headbang2

Your pic looks like alot of Midas in a small tank with a Butti...Can we see pics of this pond?
Why aren't your midas in there?

That's not a picture of his fish. I am curious how large this pond is though and is it indoor or outdoor. Next year when I get a house I plan on setting up a large pond in the garage, and I was wondering what your setup might be like.
