Thanks. With time and good diet, they start to really pop color wise around4-4.5", just around the time you can start to sex them visually. I had to pull mine out of my 300 after the first introduction because a 4" gt tormented the one in my avatar almost to death. I've since rehoused the gt and the festae is doing great

I'm a bit leery of someone selling 1.5" "wild" cichlids. Doesn't add up to me, nor to some importers I've spoken to... Not saying it's impossible, just pointing it out. I've seen Dan's fish and they're always good quality.
