Hi,
i would like some kind of info on them, such as their size, agression and compatiable tank mates :D
Also im guessing one would beat up my arowana, correct?
i have a 440 litre tank, with a pair of convicts and my arowana, a comon plec and a tire track eel, i can move any one of these fish into my 60g if need be. ignore my sig as its not been up dated.

are you wanting to try to get a pair or just keep a single festae with other tankmates? I kept a breeding pair in a 125 with several female convicts and the pair never bothered them. the male festae did kill a couple of male cons though once they got to around 4.5". they never bothered catfish either. I should mention though that my pair is not as psychotic and hyper aggressive as festae are often reported to be. I think they're actually pretty mild, but if the male doesn't like another fish he will dispose of it quickly. :)

i just want one female, with my silver arowana and my cons! possiable or not?

so the RT will not beat up my Arow?

My festae pair are very much the same way. they dont bother any fish except the ones the male kills. as simple as that. he killed my firemouth and ...my silver arrow. I wouldn't try it. I already learned my 30 dollar lesson.

I only want ONE not a pair, ok then what about a midas would that be a better option?

if you choose any of the more aggressive species such as red terrors, midas, red devil, jag etc it will simply depend on the individual fish. starting the cichlid as a juvenile with the other fish will help however, the arrow will grow much faster than any of these cichlids and may grow fast enough to wind up eating the cichlid you choose. this would be especially true of a red terror because, despite their large adult size, they are very slow growers. you'll be doing good to get 1/2" per month out of them up to 6" and then it goes even slower.

:)
