I can actually say something about this. From this site, I was fooled into buying a pair of red texas because the seller sent me pictures that weren't of the actual fish. In the pictures, the fish were bright red and you could probably spot it immediately if it were placed in a tank but when I recieved them in the mail all I got were plain ones. I had wasted about 80 dollars and I was furious and decided never again to buy online because I want to see with my own two eyes what they looked like.

My opinion, if you are truely trying to find a way to sell these fish, is get up clear crisp pics of these fish parents, especially with a species like this - one that is in demand and wanted by many.

Good Luck.
just to let you know my MFK brothers i dont need to lie to you guys and i did not took a picture from google and claim is my fish...here you go guys this is what a red Texas looks like.... http://www.google.com/search?q=red+...s=org.mozilla:en-US:official&client=firefox-a.....
by the way guys, not all fry's will come out 100% red....its not just my reds its like that no-matter who you buy it from.....you will be lucky if you get 3 red's out of 10 ...so you dont need pictures you luck like i did....i bought total of ten from different members and breeders and i only had 3 reds one male two female....good luck guys...

what you are saying is true about the percentage of reds, but even lower are male fertility rates. So if you had a breeding pair of SRT, and sold it, you see why some may be hesitant to buy before pics of actual parents are shown. I would keep the SRT pair and sell fry until i atleast made my money back from all the fry I would have bought to find one pair.

If you know enough to sell the SRT parents for 500, then you will know that you need to show pics of the parents to sell the fry........
