Red texas cichlid? ID please

Ok so I got this fish and was told it was a red texas but it has no red but does have beautiful pearls! Yea from petsmart only 7bucks but he changes colors dramaticly from bars/lines to all white with a bunch of pearls! And I've never seen anything with pearls besides flowerhorns any other guesses thoughts what it might be!?

Hard to tell from the pics but it might be a Kamfa Flowerhorn which have been getting mixed into the Red Texas being sold. Damn, I need to make the trip up to Salem cause our local doesn't have them. Do they have any left?
 
Check the Petsmart thread on red texas. Looks like a synspilum mix of some type, kind of like the ones I just picked up as 'red texas'.
 
I went in today and they actually still have one left same as this guy and my what I've been told red dragon shows all his fins at him like when my convixcts paired up so he might be intrested in her? He's 3in and I've noticed he's kok is alrady growing! No joke! They only had 2 at petsmart I got one and the other is still there and man does this fish eat! It takes everything I have droped in there so far! Even is teaching my red dragon that pellets are food! Lol ill see if I can take more pics

i had one from petsmart too labeled as red texas. i think petsmart don't know what they talking about when they sell these i seen no red or pearls in it like the one you had. now i'm thinking that they were just low grade fh's. but now they have fh's at the petsmart by me for like 26 bux.
