Red texas cichlid? ID please

Yea I've been hearing all around mfk that the texas there selling have been mixed with flowerhorns so I'm hoping I've got a good one! He pearls beautifully then changes in an instant! To black pearls!

Yea that's true and there very noticable about you you go to feed them and they straight go up to the top of tank

This what ours are I am thinking, although maybe not as nice. erOwaNa got these as RT as well from Petsmart a while back.

Looks like RT to me. I actualy started a RT project and your fry look like mine do. I'll try to post some good photos for you to compare. You can also check out videos on my Red Texas project thread that I posted.

the second pic looks like a FH. red texas are hybrids so they can look like any cichlid and not be red. to me red texas should be red. there are certain pics on other FH sites with beautiful specimens and also mammon looking ones with the red qualities. red texas are hybrids which probably why they can look like FH to me.
