What fish are used to make a super red texas and a red texas?

Easy answer is Texas and Red Devil/ Midas, but there could be complex variation. Theres really no difference between an SRT and an RT except phenotypically. An SRT and an RT can be siblings.

It was that simple! I was told that there was 5 different fish involved.
Does it matter which is the mother or the father?

Agreed, Krill and a good Pellet like Hikari Gold. I had Jewel Cichlid that was pale like yours and in no time it got red and colorful. Mabe yuou can even use the food thats intended for blood red parrots. Cyclops-Eeze is suppose to help with reddening too, but the food is small and may have trouble feeding it.

Male Cyano/Carpintis and cross to any Parrot/RD/Midas. Then take the best looking male offspring and cross that back to the mother to achieve better reds. Cross a red female offspring back to dad to achieve more pearls. This is a line bred fish and it can take several generations to accomplish what you are looking for.

The ingredients are easy, but the recipe is tough. It takes alot of selective breeding and a certain level of luck.
