does anybody know if red texas cichlids are aggresive or semi-aggresive?

and what would be good tank mates for them?

id say there aggressive just bc texas are mean but mostly depends on the personality of each fish

texas is mean, but hybrid texas is much more meaner. they are not as smart as the pure gene, always try to dominate the tank.

if its a cichlid it has the potential to be an ass, period.

Red Texans are mean, mean, mean, and did I say... mean? Had one at my local fish store. She was a lot of fun, could make her do laps all day long chasing your fingers. Black widow too.. she killed her mate by eviscerating him. Was fine with him for years before that..

Though, it is possible to have one live peacefully with less aggressive fish. I had a fully matured male in with many lesser aggressors with no problem. I dont recommend it though, I'm just good like that....
