I got a red texas but he is more orange/yellow. I don't know why they call them red Texas when prob 90% of them are orange.

When my dad started from scratch he had plenty of orange ones. The males were just about all infertile.
Takes patience and good genes to get that proper red.

you are very correct on this. line breeding and many generations can cause this, or getting an insanely red parrot and a thai gt can also cause this.
