Wish i could of taken your advise but hes gone now :( hope he didn't suffer to much. What i've reed told when most small cichlids bloat up or get major infections they usually don't recover. I think it started as bloat and turned into a major infection and turned into an abcess.

This brings back the old question of can fish feel pain, and i hope they can't.

yeah i'm pretty bummed about the whole thing this little guy got me back into cichlids and into hybrids i've had some odd crosses in the past but never really looked into it much.

Its interesting you say that FishFreak95 i've reed alot of things that said most fish lack the part of there brain needed to feel pain. Some fish are more evolved and can feel some kind of sensation close to if not the same as we feel pain.
