She keeps acting like she is laying eggs but nothing is coming out? Does anyone know what she is doing. I'm thinking its something they do to prepare for the eggs, maybe spraying something sticky so that the eggs will stick to the surface?

When you cross Texas and blood parrot or any other red/red orange cichlid such as red devil or mamon flowerhorn, you get what is called a red texas/RT. They are a nice looking fish if you can breed them right, IMO. I think it comes down to personal preference though.

ooo ok makes sense now , i saw a rt on youtube that was really nice , its had very beautiful color heres is the link if you want to check it out http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TBGj2UtF1QM ... question so is that how you get red terrors

Good Luck Man ... I'm also starting a Red Texas project but I'm going to use a Super King Kong Female to cross with a Male Texas.

Keep us posted

Niiiice man. Good luck on your RT project. Keep in touch with me on your results. I'd like to see how they turn out.

yea that was a nice one that you saw. The red was pretty deep. As far as the red terror, they are not a cross breed. They are wild. here is a link to a site with some info i think you might appreciate. http://www.cichlid-forum.com/profiles/species.php?id=503 good luck with your endeavors.
