"Kamfas are FH with a high amount of syspilum genes and that is why they look so different".

Does a Kamfa have to be made with synspilum, or will other vieja types work? I am working on breeding a female fenustratus with a FH (once the FHs put on size). Would that make a Kamfa?

That is a good question and I would have to think it would work. I wouldn't neccessarily call it a kamfa. Kamfas are created from synspilum. That fish was chosen by the original breeders for specific reasons. I am sure that the creators have tried with other fish and the sysnpilium yeilded the best results. All I know is that the synspilum works. Good luck with what you are trying and hopefully it will make a sweet looking fish.
